Patti Guarachi
I am a native of California. I have traveled extensively but always land back in Northern California. I lived in Mendocino County for over thirty years, and on the Mendocino Coast for more than twenty years. I love it here for the ocean in all it's splendor and the beautiful redwoods for the life they breathe in their magnificence. This is truly a wonderful place to be.
I have always been involved in art, coming from a family of artists. I've been drawing all my life, attended some college, but am mostly self-taught, and was very much influenced by all the color coming out of the 60's. As a young adult I did alot of freelance artwork; from newspaper ads to painting shop awnings and windows, to silkscreening skateboards, painting huge banners, drawing posters and flyers for events, creating menus, ect. I started painting in the early 70's and began showing my work in the 80's after my friends coaxed me to do so.
I enjoy color and a touch of humor. I want to convey a message at times and at other times just sweetly confuse. I do hope that you enjoy my work..
